After Recent Win, Houston Alexander Likely to Return to UFC in December: “

Houston AlexanderLight heavyweight knockout artist Houston Alexander is likely to return to the UFC in December after earning his first victory in over two years at last weekend’s Adrenaline IV event near his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.

Alexander took the rare step of fighting outside the Octagon while still under contract with the UFC after receiving special permission from the promotion, dispatching of Sherman Pendergarst with leg kicks less than two-minutes into the opening round of their co-main event.

“The Assassin” debuted in the UFC in 2007 with back-to-back first-round knockouts of Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara, but would lose his next three-straight before getting back on track last weekend.

In a recent appearance on MMAjunkie Radio, Alexander said he’s likely to fight at UFC 107 on December 19 in Memphis, Tennessee, a pay-per-view event headlined by BJ Penn vs. Diego Sanchez, but that an opponent has not yet been determined for the fight.
